Cisco Meraki connector
The Cisco Meraki connector allows devices managed through the Cisco Meraki Dashboard (access points, switches, security appliances, cameras, etc.) to be added as assets by querying the Cisco Meraki API.
This connector does not require any script execution or agent installation. It retrieves the device name, serial number, model, local IP address, and the firmware version reported by the Dashboard.
Scanning capabilities are limited to the data exposed by the Cisco Meraki API.
Cisco Meraki discovery also enables automatic detection of managed devices. Additional information is available in the Cisco Meraki discovery documentation.
Prerequisites
Creating agentless connections of type Cisco Meraki requires enabling this type of connection from the menu Administration > Connector Management.
- A Cisco Meraki Dashboard API key
- Read access to the organizations containing the devices to be scanned
The API key can be generated from the user profile in the Cisco Meraki Dashboard, under the API access section. API access must be enabled at the organization level.
Configure API access
You may configure your credentials from Stored credentials in the lateral menu, then click Add. In the form, select type Cisco Meraki and fill in the API key.
Add an asset using the Cisco Meraki connector
A Cisco Meraki device is identified by its serial number (visible in the Dashboard, in the form XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).
In Cyberwatch, under the Assets section:
- Go to the Assets menu and click on Agentless Connections
- Select the Cisco Meraki access protocol
- In the Address field, enter the serial number of the device
- Select the Cisco Meraki credential set
- Click Save
Add using a Cisco Meraki discovery

In Cyberwatch, under the Assets section:
- Go to the Discoveries menu
- On the Cisco Meraki discovery, click View Discovered Assets
- Select the devices to add
- Click Bulk Actions, then Scan with agentless connections
- Under Credentials, select the previously saved Cisco Meraki account
